- National Concert Artists Corporation, West Coast Office (9059 Sunset Boulevard), dealt with Norma Jeane's first movie in 1946, after Emmeline Snively had contacted her friend Helen Ainsworth who was helped by Harry Lipton.

- the William Morris Agency (202 North Canon Drive, Beverly Hills) took care of Marilyn in 1949 after its vice-president Johnny Hyde had fell in love with her. Although Marilyn officially remained there for four years, she tried to be represented elsewhere after Johnny Hyde's death, at the end of 1950.

- the Famous Artists Agency signed a two years contract after Charles Feldman had helped her to negociate her second contract with the Fox in 1951. On Marilyn's order, Charles Feldman was helped by Hugh French and Jack Gordean. When Marilyn left Hollywood in 1955 to found the Marilyn Monroe Productions with Milton Greene, she stopped any relation with this agency.

-the MCA, Music Corporation of America, followed the Famous Artists Agency in order to re-negociate Marilyn's contract with the Fox.
Marilyn and Milton Greene both agreed with the fact that the best way to guarantee the Marilyn Monroe Productions' independence, was to ask Lew Wasserman's contacts, himself head ofthe MCA, to assure the distribution.
The MCA stopped representing her during the last year of her life, when she asked the lawyer Milton Rudin to take charge.
Jay Kanter (born December 12, 1926, Chicago) also worked at the MCA, at the New York agency. He was married with Judy Balaban, daughter of the founder of the Balaban and Katz Theater, who would become one of the leader of the Paramount.
